Solana Beach School District Band

The Solana Beach School District Band is open to all fourth through sixth graders in the Solana Beach School District.
 
SCHOOL YEAR BAND:
 
Beginning Band meets Tuesdays between 3:30-5:30 p.m., from early September to late May. Students do not need any prior experience to join Beginning Band.  The fall semester includes instrument specific coaching taught by qualified musicians each week for the first part of the year. 
 
Advanced Band meets Mondays between 3:30-5:30 p.m., from early September to late May.   Students must have participated in Beginning Band, or have at least one year of experience playing a band instrument before registering for Advanced Band.
 
Band Tuition includes 28 classes, two concerts, Beginning Band music book and a band t-shirt.  
 
Before signing up, please review the band policies and procedures to understand the band requirements and commitments, which includes at-home practice.
 
SUMMER BAND:
 
Beginning Band meets for one week, Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 12:00p.m., during the summer. Students do not need any prior experience to join Beginning Band.  The camp includes instrument specific coaching taught by expert musicians.
 

Advanced Band meets for one week, Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 12:00p.m., during the summer. Students must have participated in Beginning Band, or have at least one year of experience playing a band instrument before registering for Advanced Band.

Band Tuition includes a concert, all sheet music and a band t-shirt.

Instrument Requirement: 

Students need an instrument of their choice to participate which can be rented or purchased.
